What is Delivering As One?

Delivering As One has five components:

  • One Programme. Agencies working together  to achieve joint results
  • One Leader. Strengthening the leadership of the UN System
  • One Budgetary Framework. Increasing transparency and predictability of funding
  • One Office. Reducing the costs of the UN system by sharing services
  • One Voice. More effective and better coordinated communications

Why are we introducing Delivering As One?

We want to become a better Development Partner and make a stronger impact on achieving the MDGs.

At present the UN System is not as an efficient or as effective development partner as it could be

The Delivering as One Pilots have demonstrated that improvements can be made at country level and donors and recipient Governments are pleased with the progress made.

Delivering As One is about BEING A BETTER DEVELOPMENT PARTNER.
